There is a huge shortage of skilled workers in the Internet industry; only about 10 to 20 percent of applicants for programming and IT expert positions are women. This is really regrettable because the Internet industry offers women great career opportunities. The proportion of female applications has risen slightly in recent years, but is by no means in line with demand.
