Vicențiu has been part of the MariaDB ecosystem for more than 8 years and is now a team lead at the MariaDB Foundation. Vicențiu’s experience centers around development of MariaDB Server’s core features, SQL level and optimizer internals. His main focus is now on the quality of the MariaDB Server and he is guiding the development of MariaDB Server’s testing infrastructure. Additionally Vicențiu has tackled numerous linux distribution related problems and also manages the download infrastructure that is used by thousands of users every day to download MariaDB Server.
