It’s like walking the red carpet at the hottest event in the world!
Internet infrastructure providers have a limited event budget each year, so it makes sense to be super-strategic about exhibiting at a particular cloud computing conference. If you specialize in cloud-services hardware, AI, storage, chips, cybersecurity, cooling, software, network technology, or any other tool or service used by cloud service providers, managed service providers, web hosters, DevOps, or web professionals, we encourage you to put CloudFest—the world’s #1 internet infrastructure festival—in your calendar… and we urge you to think beyond the booth!
CloudFest has built its reputation on creating experiences with its partners that attendees remember for a long time. “CloudFest is a celebration of the Cloud ecosystem and a must-attend meet-up for everyone in this industry,” says Johannes Gottschlich, CloudFest’s Head of Sales.” It’s just a whole different vibe than you’ll find at any other event. Really, where else can you have a serious business meeting in the morning, a rollercoaster ride at lunch, a concert in the evening, and then another business meeting after hours at the bar?”
It’s true that with over 9,000 attendees, your booth will get a lot of traffic—and we work with our partners to make their presence in the exhibition hall the focal point of bigger experiences.
Here’s how our 2024 attendee group looked
- 33% Cloud Service Provider (CSP)
- 22% MSP / VAR / System Integrator
- 16% Corporate IT
- 14% Infrastructure Provider / Hardware / Components
- 8% ISV
- 4% Registrar / Registry
- 3% ISP / Telcom
… and across those areas of focus, 36% were executive-level leaders.
CloudFest also welcomes bold startups to exhibit and pitch their services—that is, if they can handle the excitement of the Rollercoaster Pitches!
Create Experiences That They’ll Remember
Nokia joined us as a partner for the first time in 2024, and it was so cool to work with them! “It’s not a stuffy conference center—it’s got an atmosphere, it’s got something special about it,” says Paul Alexander, Sales Director, Nokia, about his experience at CloudFest 2024. “I’m really impressed by CloudFest, I really like the event, and I really encourage people to come.”
Thomas Kitz, Business Development Lead at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, knows the feeling: “We have been partners since the beginning, I think it’s the 17th or 18th time we are here, and I think HPE still believes we have a really great global opportunity with service providers.”
Since we take over a German amusement park, you are free to think very far outside the box! “We come up with new branding ideas based on the KPIs our partners want to achieve,” says Johannes. “Our team connects with each partner individually to figure out the best way to bring their personality into the spotlight in a memorable way. With a venue as unique as Europa-Park, it’s crazy how many different ways we can do that!”
Here are just a few of the experiences we have created with our partners at previous events:
- Rollercoaster rides
- Concerts with celebrity guests and an audience of thousands
- DJ booth at the Main Entrance
- Pop-up happy hours
- Interactive masterclasses and Barcamp sessions
- Intimate executive dinners and invite-only product demos
- The World Server Throwing Championship
- … and even our very own Oktoberfest-style party!
So there’s a reason that nobody ever describes CloudFest as more than just a cloud computing expo!
Real Relationships, Not Just Contacts
“The one-on-one relationship between each member of the Sales Team and the partners is something special, from first contact all the way through production,” says Sales Manager Ina Jentsch. “It’s a relationship that often lasts for years! I just don’t see this level of creativity at other events. I think it’s because we encourage our partners to get a little bit crazy!”
But the most important question is not “What did we do before?” Instead, ask yourself what kind of impression you want to make on the key decision-makers in the Cloud industry! The only way to answer this question is to partner with CloudFest and see how creative you can get.
“We love to see the results of our collaboration once we get onsite, and of course we enjoy meeting everyone in person,” says Ina. “Of course, also having a beer together at the end of the show is always great!”
