How to Get to Europa-Park for CloudFest 2025

Europa Park at night

Europa-Park is Easy to Reach from Anywhere—Because It’s the Center of the World!

CloudFest takes place at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, which is in the Black Forest region. Rust itself is a really small town—just a few thousand people. It’s pretty much exactly what you picture when someone says “small town in Germany”. Europa-Park, on the other hand… well, imagine if Disneyland were designed by Wes Anderson! It’s delightfully detailed, vibrant, and BIG—the perfect place for the world’s #1 Cloud festival.

How to Get to CloudFest (or, ‘Where is Rust, Germany?!’)

How do you get to CloudFest? First, become an internet infrastructure industry professional. Then get really good at your job. Oh, you mean how do you get there? That’s quite a bit easier.

Located where Germany, France, and Switzerland meet, Rust can easily be reached from anywhere in the world by plane, train, and automobile. Okay, put on your compression socks and let’s take this journey together!

By Plane

Frankfurt (FRA) and Zurich (ZRH) are the two largest airports that serve Rust. From both airports, you can take a train to Offenburg train station, where there is a free CloudFest Shuttle service to take you directly to CloudFest. That service starts running the day before CloudFest begins, and ends the day after CloudFest closes. The train ride to Offenburg takes around 90 minutes from Frankfurt, and around 120 minutes from Zurich.

You can also fly into Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB): For there you would take the X34 bus to Baden-Baden Station, and take the train to Offenburg. That takes around an hour.

Strasbourg Airport (SXB) in France is also quite close to Offenburg: just an hour by train.

(We suggest Offenburg as a train destination because the CloudFest shuttle is so convenient. You can also take the train all the way to the town of Ringsheim, and then take a five-minute taxi ride to Rust, but that’s just an extra step.)

Basel  Airport (BSL) is also an option: it takes roughly two hours by train to Ringsheim, from which you’d then take a taxi to Rust.

[Note: You can walk from Ringsheim to Rust in around half an hour at New York walking speed, but that would involve walking along the side of a busy road with your luggage. Not many people really want to do that for some reason.]

By Train

The Offenburg ICE station is served by Europe’s vast express train network. You can easily get there from most major European cities, and also many minor ones. Here’s Offenburg Hbf on a map; the CloudFest shuttle stops directly outside the station entrance.

There are also daily direct trains from Paris and Milan to Ringsheim Station (seriously), which is then just five minutes by taxi from Europa-Park.

All About the CloudFest Shuttles

Attendees at the CloudFest Event

CloudFest has its own free transit system! One shuttle connects Offenburg Hbf train station to the Europa-Park theme hotels and the CloudFest Main Entrance, another brings attendees staying at the Hotel Krønasår to and from the sessions and networking events, and yet another connects CloudFest to our partner hotels in Ringsheim. The CloudFest Shuttle page is updated before each edition of the festival so you can plan your journeys with confidence.

By Car

You can drive to CloudFest as well. The A5 motorway gets you closest to Europa-Park: you’ll take exit 57b to Rust.

Parking is free for CloudFest attendees and partners at the theme hotels and Europa-Park itself. Just note that Europa-Park’s VIP Parking Area is not CloudFest’s VIP parking area! This becomes the World Server Throwing Championship arena, and you don’t want your car anywhere near it when the hardware starts flying.
